Job Description
Want to build tech that truly matters? We are looking for a motivated developer who has already gained their first professional experience and is now ready to take the next step. At Telepaxx, you won’t just be writing code - you’ll be shaping the future of digital health in an agile, collaborative work environment where you can contribute your ideas and grow professionally. You’re passionate about modern backend architectures (Java), but you’re also a team player who isn’t afraid to occasionally support our frontend development as well. Join us and help shape the future of digital healthcare in an innovative, technology-driven environment where your ideas matter and your work helps ensure that critical patient data is available at the right time and in the right place. Telepaxx Medical Data offers hospitals and physicians secure, quickly integrable Software-as-a-Service solutions from the cloud - specifically tailored to the needs of imaging departments such as radiology, orthopedics, cardiology, or gynecology. Tasks Build and evolve cloud‑native Java microservices and shared libraries using contemporary frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot or Quarkus). Design and implement RESTful APIs as well as queries in PostgreSQL. Work with cloud object storage (e.g. S3) and containerized services on our infrastructure. Collaborate closely with infrastructure and engineering support teams to deliver functionality that directly serves hospitals and patients. Write and maintain automated tests (JUnit, Mockito) and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. Participate in code reviews, share feedback constructively and work hand‑in‑hand with a small, distributed team. Requirements What we’re looking for 2–5 years of Java backend experience (Java 17/21) and a understanding of microservice architectures. Proficiency in SQL/PostgreSQL Hands‑on experience with Docker and fundamental cloud concepts. Some familiarity with front‑end development using AngularJS. Experience with API testing tools and concepts. Self‑management and accountability: you plan work, flag blockers early and deliver on commitments. Clear, concise communication in writing and speech: you explain the “why” behind your work, not just the “what,” in stand‑ups and pull requests. A collaborative mindset: you review code constructively, share context and happily mentor peers. Language skills: English (min. B2) / German (min. A2) Willingness and ability to work at our Munich office at least once a week Nice to have We’d be excited if you also bring: Exposure to healthcare or imaging workflows (e.g. DICOM). Experience with Quarkus and GraalVM or Spring‑based services. Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform) and event‑driven architectures. Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana. Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for quick prototypes or ad‑hoc analytics as a plus Experience with schema migration tools. These are bonuses, not requirements - if you’re missing a few, we’d still love to hear from you! Benefits The opportunity to contribute to innovative medtech and healthtech solutions by using modern technologies A collegial, supportive and motivating working environment where colleagues look out for one another and celebrate successes together as a team. A multifaceted role with excellent opportunities for professional growth and the chance to contribute your own ideas. Meaningful work: you’ll play a direct part in ensuring patients receive the best possible care – a role with a real impact Short decision-making processes and agile working methods A permanent position in a meaningful and stable industry, combined with innovative and modern technology We embrace entrepreneurial pragmatism and foster visionary initiatives in the field of health IT. Here, tradition meets modernity; flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes meet commitment and robust solutions. Our team is united by a clear understanding of the challenges faced by healthcare organisations and a shared desire to drive digitalisation forward in a meaningful way.
