Expert Packaging Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks As a Expert Packaging Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a key role in shaping and scaling KoRo’s packaging landscape to support our growing product portfolio and long-term sustainability ambitions. You will help build the structures, processes and standards needed to accelerate product launches, improve packaging quality and drive innovative packaging solutions across the business. In this role, you will develop packaging strategies, optimize processes and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure packaging solutions are delivered efficiently, sustainably and in line with industry standards. Your responsibilities will include: Packaging Strategy & Process Development Develop and implement packaging strategies that support KoRo’s growth ambitions and product roadmap Set up scalable processes, structures and KPIs to continously improve packaging development efficiency Sustainable & Innovative Packaging Solutions Drive the development and implementation of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions across the product portfolio Continuously review and optimize packaging solutions to ensure alignment with quality, sustainability and cost targets Research market trends and identify packaging innovations that strengthen KoRo’s market positioning Supplier & Stakeholder Management Collaborate closely with suppliers to improve packaging quality, material efficiency and cost structures Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution and cross-functional collaboration Packaging Data, Compliance & Reporting Support the management and quality control of packaging-related master data Contribute to packaging reporting, audits and compliance processes in line with industry standards and legal requirements, particularly PPWR and SUP regulations Your profile 5+ years of experience in Packaging Development in Food industry or related industries Bachelor or Master in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Technology, Material Science or related field. Strong understanding of packaging materials, sustainability trends and regulatory requirements Experience managing packaging projects and improving processes in fast-paced environments Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills Hands-on, structured and analytical working style with the ability to balance innovation, quality and commercial targets Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus Based in Berlin or willing to relocate What you can expect from us Our diverse team is ready to be enriched and inspired by your ideas: help building the future of food retailing in our fast-growing start-up!
