Finance & Controlling Manager (m/f/d)

Originally founded in collaboration with the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics, terraplasma medical GmbH is at the forefront of innovative cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) technology. Our vision is to to set the new standard of care by establishing our technology as the safe, evidence-based benchmark in dermatology and wound care, elevating treatment outcomes beyond the reach of conventional therapies. As our Controller, you are the financial backbone of our scaling company and thus a key voice in how we run the business. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you own our financial operations end to end: from clean books and reliable systems to the insights that drive management decisions. Tasks Controlling & Reporting Preparation and ownership of the Monthly Business Review, including management-ready reporting packages for CCO and supervisory board Budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis Cash flow management and liquidity planning, including ongoing runway visibility Sales and operational KPI reporting, incl. ad hoc analyses for management decisions Support of fundraising processes, including financial due diligence and data room preparation Ownership of our financial data infrastructure (ERP, CRM, Tidely, PowerBI) as the single, reliable source of truth Accounting & Accounts Payable / Receivable Creation, review, and dispatch of outgoing invoices and payment reminders Review and approval workflow for incoming invoices, including cost centre allocation Processing payment runs for travel expenses, payroll, and incoming invoices Review of employee travel expenses and credit card statements Compliance, Audit & External Relations Management of the relationship with external tax advisors and auditors (Steuerberater, Wirtschaftsprüfer) Ensuring financial compliance with German commercial and tax law (HGB, UStG) Supporting audits by providing required financial documentation and audit-ready records Contract management and filing Requirements University degree in business administration, accounting, controlling or a related field 3 years experience in accounting and/or controlling (working with German HGB and UStG a strong plus) Familiarity with PowerBI (strong plus) Experience with ERP systems required Process-oriented mindset with a drive to connect systems and improve data quality Strong communication skills — comfortable working with internal teams and external partners Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken) Benefits Depending on experience, gross salary btw. € 55.000-75.000 Support for internal and external training and development Access to Wellpass and/or the Deutschlandticket Regular team events and a collaborative, international culture Up to 2 remote days per week Modern workspaces in Munich and Frankfurt Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
