Fund Formation Associate Attorney – Palo Alto or San Francisco. Direct Counsel is seeking a Fund Formation Associate to join a highly respected Am Law firm in either Palo Alto or San Francisco. This is an outstanding opportunity for a mid-level associate to join a premier investment funds practice representing sophisticated sponsors, investors, and fund managers in complex private investment fund matters.Requirements2–4 years of experience advising clients on private investment fund formation and related sponsor-side transactions.Experience working on fund formation matters from inception through closing, as well as exposure to sponsor-level and secondary transactions.2–4 years of private investment fund formation experience at a national or international law firm.Experience representing sponsors and investors in private investment funds.Experience handling fund formation transactions and sponsor-level matters involving general partner and management company entities.Exposure to secondary transactions involving limited partner and/or portfolio company interests.Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills.Excellent academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.Benefitsbonus opportunitieshealth and wellness benefitsgenerous parental leavefertility benefitsretirement plansadditional attorney benefitsOriginally posted on Himalayas
