The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering and will employ modern DevOps practices to improve our development team’s productivity and system reliability.Problem-solving is key to the ability to utilize creative and innovative thinking. Rather than include the same old boring job description, here is a list of tasks the prospective employee may be asked to accomplish and/or attributes the candidate should possess.Primary Responsibilities:Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and SAMAutomate deployments and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub ActionsDevelop Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and system integrationsTroubleshoot production issues and coordinate with development teams to streamline deploymentsImplement automation frameworks for security, performance, and availabilityAnalyze infrastructure performance and suggest improvementsCollaborate with team members to improve engineering tools, policies, and proceduresGather and aggregate logs and metrics into actionable insightsSome Must-Haves:5+ years of professional cloud engineering or DevOps experienceHands-on experience with Terraform, AWS, SAM, and GitHub ActionsProficient in Python scriptingStrong understanding of infrastructure-as-code and cloud architecture principlesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automation best practicesWhere We're Looking For ItSchenectady, New York 100% Remote available for the right candidateCompensation Package (Salary Transparency for US Based Employees):Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000Salary is negotiable based on qualifications, certifications, and experienceFree Health Insurance Option for all (Single, 2-Party, and Family)401k Safe Harbor PlanProfit Sharing ProgramGenerous PTO - Maternity / Paternity LeaveSide Hustle OpportunitiesCertification Reimbursement and Bounty ProgramsOther InformationThe work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it.
