This position requires strong coaching, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills, and offers the opportunity to directly impact performance improvement, leadership development, and operational consistency across the organization.This role collaborates closely with plant managers, department leaders, front-line supervisors, and the Operations leadership team, ensuring that leadership behaviors, operating disciplines, and continuous improvement initiatives are effectively implemented and sustained. This is a fully remote role.This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys developing leaders, and is passionate about driving sustainable operational improvements through disciplined execution.This is a remote position that requires up to 50% travel to various company facilities.What You’ll DoPartner with plant managers and leadership teams to establish and sustain core leadership behaviors, including Gemba walks, effective pass-downs, proactive planning, and daily management routines.Coach leaders at all levels to strengthen people-process disciplines and reinforce consistent execution practices.Support post-engagement sustainability through regular remote check-ins with site leadership teams to ensure practices remain embedded.Conduct spot checks on implemented initiatives to monitor progress, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.Serve as a resource to plant leadership in navigating challenges and sustaining performance improvements.Partner with Operations leadership to share best practices across facilities and promote a culture of continuous improvement.Perform other duties as assigned.Who You Are10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or operations, preferably in a fast-paced industrial environmentBachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experienceTechnical Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business tools; ability to analyze data, interpret reports, and support KPI-driven decision-makingOperational Expertise – Strong understanding of leader standard work, Gemba walks, proactive planning, and performance management practicesLeadership & Coaching – Proven ability to develop and influence leaders at all levels, from front-line supervisors to plant managersCommunication Skills – Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships and provide clear, actionable feedbackAdditional Qualifications – Ability to travel approximately 50% to facilities across North AmericaWhat You’ll GetZekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
