BIS Safety Software is a SaaS company on a mission to change how organizations manage safety, learning, and compliance. As we build a modern marketing function that combines data, creativity, and execution, we are looking for a Marketing Manager who wants to help shape how the market understands what we do.About the role:This is a new role that sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and execution. You'll work closely with leadership to turn marketing strategy into real, measurable progress while guiding a small marketing team through campaigns, content, and digital program. But what we really need is someone who gets things done - this is a very hands-on role. We are specifically looking for someone who enjoys building campaigns, improving messaging, and working directly with the marketing systems that drive performance.This is also a genuinely fast-paced role. BIS produces a large volume of marketing initiatives across campaigns, content, website development, and digital programs. The pace is often faster than what many organizations describe as “fast-paced,” and success in this role requires someone who is comfortable operating with that level of momentum while maintaining strong judgment and quality.This is a remote position. In this role, you'll be expected to:Lead and develop the marketing team - managing and mentoring a small but capable team, running regular 1-to-1's, providing clear direction and feedback, and maintaining alignment between marketing initiatives and company prioritiesOversee marketing execution - work directly with the team to produce marketing materials including website content, landing pages, campaigns, and promotional assets; review and refine marketing copy to ensure alignment with company messaging and positioningDrive digital marketing initiatives - you will help oversee and contribute directly to website optimization, landing page development, SEO, AEO, Google Ads and digital advertising programs, marketing analytics and campaign performance tracking, and conversion optimization across digital channelsCoordinate marketing systems and priorities - ensure marketing initiatives remain organized and intentional, helping prioritize projects based on impact, working with leadership to refine messaging and marketing direction, and coordinating work with internal teams and external marketing partners.You might be the right fit if you:Have experience both leading people and building marketing systemsHave roughly 5-7 years of marketing experience, with some experience coordinating or managing a small teamAre comfortable operating at both the strategic and execution level, but are first and foremost a doerHave owned marketing campaigns or initiatives from start to finish, with tangible outcomes you can point toPossess strong digital marketing knowledge including SEO, paid media, and website optimizationHave demonstrated strong judgment when evaluating messaging, copy, and campaign qualityAre comfortable using marketing data and performance signals to guide decisionsUse AI solutions to improve the speed and quality of your workBring a mindset focused on continuous improvementThe type of marketer who thinks of marketing as a system that can be continuously improved, not simply a collection of tasksThink critically about messaging and positioning, always asking whether copy and campaigns actually move the buyer forwardThrive in fast-paced environments where a high volume of marketing initiatives are moving simultaneouslyAre humble, eager to learn, and happy to ask questions and seek clarity where neededBonus points if you have:Experience in B2B or SaaS environments, though operational marketing experience in a structured environment is the more important factorExperience with SEO strategy, content marketing, and digital campaign managementFamiliarity with marketing automation platforms, CMS tools, and analytics dashboardsA working understanding of how to measure and improve marketing-qualified lead generationExperience building or improving marketing production processes and workflowsExposure to safety, training, compliance, or other regulated industry verticalsCompensation and benefits:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Full medical, dental, and vision coverageLife insurance and disability insuranceHealth spending accountFlexible working hoursOn-the-job training and growth opportunitiesAbout BIS:BIS Safety Software has been headquartered in Sherwood Park, Alberta, since 2006.
