We are looking for a Middle strong General QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join a distributed product team and take ownership of quality across the full testing cycle. The ideal candidate has a strong manual and automation testing background, mobile testing experience, and — most importantly — an AI-first mindset: you actively use AI tools in your daily work and are excited to push that further. JOB REQUIREMENTS Must have: 3+ years of QA experience (manual + automation) Experience testing mobile applications (hybrid apps) Hands-on experience with TypeScript + Appium Experience with CLI tools and working in terminal-based environments Knowledge of non-relational databases Upper-Intermediate or Advanced English (B2+) — active communication with the client Nice to have: Experience in Fintech domain Familiarity with DynamoDB Experience with or interest in Agentic QA workflows KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manual and automated testing of a mobile hybrid application Maintaining and expanding the existing automation test suite (TypeScript/Appium) Handling technical support tickets — reproducing, investigating, and documenting issues Collaborating with a distributed team Actively using AI tools to improve testing workflows PROJECT Customer: Growing SaaS startup based in Australia. Type: Fintech / management SaaS application. Product: A platform that helps businesses manage operations and workflows. The product is actively growing and has a significant user base. Stage: Active development. Project team: TechMagic side — Senior Backend Developer + QA engineer (you'll join as the second QA). Client side — mobile development team. Day-to-day collaboration primarily with CTO and Product Manager; other stakeholders involved as needed. Technical stack: TypeScript, Appium, Mobile Proxy, DynamoDB, CLI, OpenClaw (AI agent platform integrated with Jira and CI environments) Work schedule: Full-time, fully remote. Working hours overlap with Australian time zone — expect early morning standups (from ~9:00 AM Kyiv time).
