You will play a pivotal role in monitoring the power grid, acting as the first line of defense against power line faults that could lead to catastrophic wildfires. Your efforts in real-time data analysis, anomaly detection, and critical event escalation will directly contribute to preventing potential disasters, ensuring fleet reliability, and safeguarding communities.Salary RangeHourly rate (in USD): $6 - $9Responsibilities Monitoring real-time data streams from field sensors and responding to alerts.Consistently following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to investigate and localize real-time faults with minimal error.Quickly and efficiently working with Supervisors on ad-hoc data requests, and following up during ongoing investigations.Requirements:STEM degree (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics)Proficiency in English - must be able to efficiently communicate event informationBasic understanding of data analytics and anomaly detectionA passion for working in a fast-paced environmentHighly motivated, proactive, able to perform duties without supervisionBeing willing to work night shifts and weekendsAbility to work 40 hours per weekPreferred Qualifications Basic proficiency with Python programmingResearch experience (STEM preferred)Experience working with metadata or data annotationExperience with real-time work and/or making reportsOriginally posted on Himalayas
