Apart from securing digital transactions for everyone, we are also enabling new generation technology by providing the cyber-security infrastructure for banking, government and smart homes, among many others.At V-Key, we are building towards a future where technology users can enjoy unprecedented security and convenience.We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant on a 6-month contract (renewable based on business needs) to support our finance team in revenue recognition, contract management, billing, and reporting. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure revenue and related transactions are accurate, compliant, and timely.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Legal and Sales teams on contract review, negotiation, and drafting, providing finance insights (pricing, milestone billing, tax, liability).Constantly update revenue tracking sheet and follow up closely with project status to ensure timely and accurate billingWork with internal and external stakeholders to research and resolve any contract terms/billing discrepancies and disputes if anyPrepare monthly journal entries for revenue recognition, reconciliation of deferred/unbilled revenue accounts in accordance with International Accounting StandardsCompute monthly sales commission and issue the commission sheetsPerform monthly short-term and long-term revenue and cash inflow forecastSupport Finance Director with preparation of revenue metrics, profitability analysis, variance analysis as well as other finance matters, as requiredParticipate in adhoc projects and recommend policies and procedures to ensure revenue and expenses are appropriately recordedReview existing processes to identify and drive process improvementsAssist in budgeting, statutory audits, tax compliance, and other ad hoc projects as assignedRequirementsBachelor degree or equivalent (Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent degree preferred)Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in revenue accounting within a technology/SaaS environment.Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent) will be an added advantageStrong working knowledge of IFRS accounting and its application; experience from an international firm or a top firm in India preferred.Proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and hands-on experience in accounting software, preferably QuickBooksDiligent, highly efficient, and accurate with extreme attention to detailsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve accounting discrepanciesAbility to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and manage changing priorities.Proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Originally posted on Himalayas
