For our direct client, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. Our customer is building the digital infrastructure for the global carbon removal economy. Its platform helps carbon removal facilities track operations and emissions with precision, creates transparency for carbon removal certificates, and connects project operators with verification, certification, and financing stakeholders. With a growing international customer base, the customer is enabling customers around the world to focus on what matters most: removing CO2 for good. This is a highly impactful role for an engineer who enjoys building robust software in a startup environment and wants to work on meaningful climate tech challenges. The ideal setup is on-site in Potsdam, hybrid is welcome, and remote within Europe can also be considered. That location flexibility reflects the team setup, with a tech base in Potsdam/Berlin and remote team members across Europe. Aufgaben Build an offline-first web application used directly on-site at carbon removal facilities to track processes and emissions Integrate time-series machine data from industrial reactors and IoT sensors as evidence for carbon removal activities Design and implement robust data ingestion pipelines for automated data collection from industrial facilities Architect ML-aided pipeline infrastructure and user-facing applications that support verification workflows Develop protocols and APIs that connect key stakeholders in the carbon economy and improve data exchange across the ecosystem Contribute to making platform that is a scalable, enterprise-ready dMRV software solution for carbon removal projects Help conceptualize and implement a secure, reliable AI-based agent capability designed for real operational value rather than hype Take ownership of technical problems end-to-end and help shape a product that solves real customer challenges in the field Qualifikation Mandatory requirements Strong TypeScript fundamentals Solid hands-on experience with modern frontend development, ideally with Vue or React Practical experience with backend technologies, ideally in Node.js / NestJS-like environments Experience working with SQL and backend application logic Ability to build high-quality software with a strong eye for maintainability, scalability, and product usability Strong ownership mentality and the ability to solve problems pragmatically in a fast-moving startup environment Clear and direct communication style with a collaborative, feedback-oriented mindsetInterest in understanding the full product context, not just isolated features Professional working proficiency in English Nice to have Experience with offline-first architectures Experience with time-series data, industrial data, IoT integrations, or data-heavy products Familiarity with Vue3, Tailwind, NestJS, IndexedDB, InfluxDB, Google Cloud Platform, NX Monorepos, or GitHub Actions Previous experience in climate tech, industrial software, or operational platformsInterest in building software that supports verification, certification, and trust-critical workflows Ability to thrive in an environment with a mix of on-site operational reality and modern software architecture Benefits Permanent full-time role Potsdam on-site preferred, hybrid possible, remote also possible Mission-driven climate tech environment Fair salary plus equity High ownership and meaningful technical challenges Team events, offsites, and co-working support Find Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
