As a PCB Layout Designer, you will be responsible for designing high-quality, reliable printed circuit board layouts for advanced electronic systems. You will work closely with hardware engineers, mechanical designers, and manufacturing partners to transform schematics into production-ready PCB designs. The role requires a strong understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, EMI/EMC considerations, and design for manufacturability (DFM). You will contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept development to series production. Attention to detail and a structured, methodical working style are essential to ensure high-performance and robust designs. In this role, you will help drive innovation by optimizing layouts for performance, cost, and manufacturability. You will also continuously improve design standards, libraries, and internal processes to enhance efficiency and quality.What is your Day to Day Mission:Create complex multi-layer PCB layouts based on electrical schematics and design requirementsCollaborate with hardware engineers to define stack-ups, routing strategies, and design constraintsPerform signal integrity, impedance control, and power integrity considerations during layoutApply EMI/EMC best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standardsOptimize component placement for thermal performance, mechanical constraints, and manufacturabilityGenerate manufacturing documentation including fabrication and assembly drawingsWork closely with PCB manufacturers and assembly houses to resolve design-related issuesSupport prototype bring-up and assist in debugging layout-related hardware issuesContinuously improve PCB design processes, standards, and documentationWhat you bring to the team:Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable technical fieldSeveral years of experience in PCB layout design for complex electronic systemsProficiency with industry-standard ECAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor)Strong understanding of high-speed design, impedance control, and multilayer stack-up designKnowledge of DFM, DFA, and PCB fabrication processesFamiliarity with EMI/EMC guidelines and regulatory requirementsAbility to interpret schematics and collaborate effectively with hardware engineersStructured, detail-oriented working style with strong problem-solving skillsGood communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teamsFluent in English (German is a plus)Why Quantum-Systems:We believe in the power of combined efforts: straightforward tech expertise paired with a customer-centric focus.We are industry pioneers who are ambitious, bold, and visionary.
