Recognized by Deloitte, HousingWire and the PropTech Breakthrough Awards, SmartRent is shaping the future of property technology and redefining what it means to make rental housing smarter.Job DescriptionAs a SmartRent Product Manager, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development lifecycle, from formulating the next innovative idea to working directly with end users, designers, engineers and stakeholders to implement key feature enhancements. You will be expected to push the boundaries of what’s possible, while sharing our healthy obsession for quality and attention to detail. You will lead the ideation, technical documentation, and launch of product features that provide the best-in-class solutions. You will take a deep dive and learn the core business so you can empathize with our customers and end users to continuously improve the experience.ResponsibilitiesDrive product development from existing feature enhancements to entirely new epicsCollect and translate business requirements into detailed technical documentation containing thorough acceptance criteriaWork hands-on with designers to constantly iterate and improve the UI/UXAttend scrums, retrospectives and planning meetings while taking detailed notes with clearly defined action itemsParticipate in agile activities such as backlog grooming, feature prioritization and sprint planningDefine and ensure user acceptance and testing criteria is captured and followed throughout the QAMaintain a direct line of communication with power usersWork closely with support, operations and sales to understand existing friction pointsAggregate feedback from all channels to drive priorityCreate exciting release notes for internal teams and end usersBuild and maintain user personas, journey maps and product roadmapsAssist our design team in the creation of product prototypes, wireframes and mockupsMaintain internal training tools, user guides and knowledge base articlesCommunicate effectively with all internal teams and external entities teams to set accurate expectations and proper timelines for product deliveryRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related technical degree2+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Business Systems Analyst and/or Jr. Product Manager capacityHighly analytical and diligent personality with ability to constantly solve problems and quickly plan out new featuresExpertise in researching, defining and documenting complex business processesAbility to understand customer needs, business goals and competitive pressures with the ability to convert those into technical documents.High aptitude to proactively develop customer relationships by empathizing, understanding, anticipating, and providing solutions to customer needs.Experience defining a product roadmap and prioritizing features based on end user needsSuccessful track record of collaboration with key stakeholdersExcellent communication and presentation skillsProficient with common productivity and collaboration toolsFamiliarity with JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Sketch, Github, PrototypingMust be passionate about the business with a constant desire to learn more and improve the user experience!Preferred QualificationsExperience in Multifamily residential housing industryExperience working on SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) products #LI-RemoteWe Put Our Employees FirstWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support your well-being and future.
