acemate is building an AI learning & teaching platform for higher and further education institutions. We have strong traction, secured funding and are entering an exciting growth phase. We're looking for a passionate Full-Stack Developer (Working Student) to drive our product forward and help us scale. Because you're joining the team early, you'll play a major role in shaping our product roadmap, overall system architecture, and broader strategy. Product Development: Partner with Paul and Emile to design new features and upgrade our existing systems Gather user feedback directly and turn those insights into tangible platform improvements Technical Leadership: Keep our core architecture scalable and resilient as our user base continues to grow Maintain and iterate on our AI toolchains so we're always leveraging the newest developments in artificial intelligence Focus heavily on backend engineering using modern technology, primarily deploying on Google Cloud and Cloudflare Past examples of what you could be building: Duolingo-inspired daily quiz system built to drive better student engagement with course material Complex AI pipelines designed to pull visual and text data out of varied documents, organizing them into deep knowledge graphs Custom authorization engine engineered to manage the expanding complexity of different institutional environments Tech Stack: Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL) Infrastructure: Cloudflare (Workers, Pages, Workflows, R2, KV), Google Cloud (Gemini, Cloud Run) Tools: Sentry, Langfuse, PostHog, Stripe Don't stress if you haven't used every piece of our stack yet. We trust that you can pick things up quickly and adapt to new frameworks or tools as the company scales.
