As an early team member, you'll have a loud voice in directing our system architecture, product roadmap, and high-level strategy. Building the Product: Work closely with Emile and Paul to build out new features and improve our current systems Talk directly to users to get their feedback, then translate what you learn into real upgrades for the platform Engineering Leadership: Ensure our base architecture stays resilient and scales smoothly alongside our growing user count Continuously update and refine our AI toolchains to ensure we're taking advantage of the latest advances in artificial intelligence Spend a lot of your time on backend engineering, shipping primarily on Cloudflare and Google Cloud using modern tech Examples of things you might build: A Duolingo-inspired daily quiz system created to boost how much students engage with their course materials Complex AI pipelines that extract text and visual data from different document types to construct deep knowledge graphs A custom authorization engine built to handle the growing complexities across varying institutional environments Tech Stack: Frontend: TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL) Infrastructure: Cloudflare (Workers, Pages, Workflows, R2, KV), Google Cloud (Gemini, Cloud Run) Tools: Sentry, Langfuse, PostHog, Stripe It's completely fine if you aren't familiar with every single tool in our stack yet. We know you can learn fast and pick up new tools and frameworks as the company scales.
