About the roleThatch is rewiring how health benefits work. We build software that gives employees real control over how they use their benefits.We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our Product Engagement team and improve how members and employers experience Thatch, from account creation through enrollment.You’ll work on the product surfaces and systems that drive activation and engagement. That includes building user-facing features, the backend systems that support them, and the instrumentation needed to understand what’s working.This is a product engineering role. You’ll work across the stack, partner closely with product and design, and ship changes that directly impact how customers experience Thatch. What you will doOwn and improve core product flows related to onboarding, activation, and enrollment.Build and ship full stack features, from backend services to user-facing interfaces.Instrument product surfaces to understand user behavior and identify opportunities for improvement. Design, test, and iterate on changes that improve conversion.Work closely with product, design, and cross-functional partners to ship solutions.Contribute to systems that support engagement and lifecycle messaging.What we are looking forExperience building and shipping production web applications across the stack.Strong product judgment and comfort working through ambiguity.Ability to reason about user behavior and use data to inform decisions.Experience owning features end-to-end.Track record of cross-functional collaboration and good technical decision-making.We care most about the scope you’ve owned, the impact you’ve had, and how you make decisions.Tools and tech stackRuby on Rails.React and TailwindCSS.Mixpanel, Segment, Braze.Experience that stands outWork on onboarding, activation, or engagement-focused product areas.Experience at an early-stage or high-growth company.Background in healthcare, finance, or similarly complex domains.How we workWe move quickly and are biased toward action.We ship early, learn from real usage, and iterate.We operate with trust, ownership, and high empathy.We value clarity over ceremony and quality over shortcuts.What to expectWe aim to keep the process thoughtful and efficient.
