We integrate Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models (LLMs), and automation systems into healthcare workflows to improve patient communication, automate medical processes, and scale digital healthcare services.To support this mission, we are looking for a Working Student – AI Engineering (m/f/d) who wants to work on real AI systems in production.Your Responsibilities:As a Working Student in AI Engineering, you will collaborate with our engineering team on real AI systems used in digital healthcare:AI systems and automationYou support the development of AI-powered workflows using large language models, contribute to automation tools for internal medical processes, and help build intelligent systems that improve patient communication and operations.AI knowledge systems and dataYou assist in building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems for medical knowledge, support AI-based document processing, and work with data pipelines used in healthcare applications.AI prototyping and experimentationYou help test new AI models, frameworks, and tools, and build prototypes for new AI features and automation workflows within our platform.Engineering and integrationYou support the integration of AI services into backend systems and APIs and collaborate on scalable AI infrastructure for telemedicine products.Your Profile:Currently studying Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related fieldStrong Python skillsFirst experience with machine learning, NLP, or large language modelsInterest in AI agents, automation, and generative AIStructured, hands-on working styleAvailability to work 15–20 hours per weekNice to haveExperience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndexExperience with PyTorch or other machine learning frameworksBackend or API development experiencePersonal AI projects or open-source contributionsWhat we offer: Real-world AI engineering experience: Work on AI systems used by patients and healthcare professionals.Modern AI technologies: Gain hands-on experience with LLM frameworks, automation tools, and machine learning systems.Impact in digital healthcare: Your work directly contributes to improving access to medical services.Fast learning environment: Small team, high ownership, and quick iteration cycles.Flexible working setup: Remote work within Germany or from our Berlin office.Career opportunities: Top-performing working students often transition into full-time AI engineering rolesFind more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
