AWS DevOps specialist - Full remote - in USD

Category: IT Services Location: For an international organization in New York, we are urgently looking for a REMOTE AWS DevOps specialist with a history of working in an agile environment. Ideally, the applicant should have AWS experience in the Build, Release processes, Continuous Integration (CI) , Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD) for the automated deployment of Microservices components using Docker Containers, AWS services and other technologies.Candidates need to be able to work +6 hours per day in the normal office hours of New York, US. Example 9AM NY time equals 7:30PM.Tasks and responsibilities:Assist in migration of websites to AWS;Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system;Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems;Management of creation, release, and configuration of production systems;System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms;Pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance;Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions;Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements;Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on AWS platform;Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes;Perform other duties as may be reasonably required and in line with the incumbent’s scope of services above;Profile:Bachelor or Master degree;+3 years of hands-on experience supporting application build and deployment in a AWS Cloud environment;Experience and deep understanding of core DevOps practices (Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Monitoring);Experience and deep understanding of DevOps integration with automated testing and/or automation deployment verification;Experience and expertise in any of scripting languages and databases: Python, Terraform and MongoDB, Redis;Knowledge/experience with AWS services – EC2, ECS, ELB/ALB, Security Groups, Route53, IAM, KMS, Cognito, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, Lambda, SES, SNS, SQS;Familiar with various Branching strategies, pull request concept and GIT commands and Bash;Knowledge/experience of Microservices architecture, Docker container implementation;Certification is an advantage;English language proficiency (oral and written);Offered:​A challenging role for an international organization;Attractive salary package or contractor rate;Interested: Please send your resume to apply@goproconsultancy.comDetailsOriginally posted on Himalayas
