Consider Joining Us, If You EnjoyConnecting guests to the extraordinary place we call homeDiscovering a broad offering of career pathsLearning and thriving among a group of international hospitality professionalsBeing passionate about people and attentive to the world - we are globetrotters!Going beyond the walls of our hotel to support our communityTaking pride in our differencesThen this could be THE perfect opportunity for you, and we cannot wait to welcome you.#WeAreHamiltonPrincessJob DescriptionSummary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of Laundry Operations, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues to ensure an exceptional guest experienceEnsure laundry service required by our Guests is completed on timeEnsure all items for dry cleaning are correctly marked Check and test garments for color fasteningCheck for any damage on received laundry prior to dry cleaning process Refill chemicals, clean filters and service the machines as needed Operate dry cleaning machine and ensure a high standard of dry cleaning Load and unload dry cleaning machines with correct load amount Press all garments on steam press using shirt units as requiredWash, dry clean and press Colleagues uniformsChange padding on steam pressing machines as needed and assist other laundry Colleagues with the dry cleaning processEnsure the entire work area remains clean and neatly organizedFollow and ensure compliance with all corporate and hotel policies and proceduresFollow all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe work environmentStrict adherence to all Health & Safety training, guidelines and work practices previous, during and following an epidemic (whether local or global) that are established by Accor, local government, international bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for disease control (CDC).Perform any other duties, tasks, and assignments within your department as required.QualificationsQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent is preferred At least 2 years previous experience with a dry-cleaning unit in a luxury hotel environment is requiredFabric and garment care knowledgeStain identification and treatmentIroning and finishing techniquesDry Cleaning & Technician certificationOccupational safety training (chemical handling)Environmental compliance training (important for dry cleaners using solvents)Must possess a strong work ethic and be able to work efficiently in a demanding, fast paced environmentMust be physically fit and have the ability to stand, lift, push and pull for long periods during shiftExcellent communication and organizational skillsAdditional InformationPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling anywhere from 2 – 6 hours a dayDoes not lift weights exceeding 25 lbs Requires constant repetitive motion Environmental stress is high – work in extreme weather conditions, high noise level and utilize hazardous machineryPlease mention the word RESPECTFUL and tag ROjox when applying to show you read the job post completely (#ROjox).
