Mobile App Engineer (React Native)

Start Date: Mai 1, 2026 acemate is building an AI learning & teaching platform for higher and further education institutions. We have strong traction, secured funding and are entering an exciting growth phase. We're looking for a passionate Mobile App Developer (React Native) to drive our product forward and help us scale. About acemate Founded in 2024, acemate has quickly become the leading AI learning platform for higher and further education, trusted by top-tier institutions across four countries, including University of Cologne, WHU and the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs). Our Mission: Democratizing access to personalized learning. We don’t believe that AI will replace educators. Instead, we empower them to design and deliver personalized learning experiences at scale. Our Growth: We've raised pre-seed funding and are growing rapidly. While we focus on higher and further education in the DACH area today, we're already expanding into new regions and markets. Tasks What You'll Do Working as a Mobile Software Developer and a crucial early member of the team, you will act as a primary product owner holding substantial sway over our user experience and mobile architecture. You will assume complete end-to-end responsibility for the technical infrastructure driving our mobile capabilities, covering all aspects from UI architecture and state management to API integration and performance monitoring. Develop the core product, going further than just the UI: You will assume absolute accountability for every feature you create. This entails crafting seamless user journeys, handling intricate local state, and guaranteeing exceptional, native-like performance. You are expected to construct, deploy, and perpetually iterate on your work. Design for intelligence and scalability: You will blueprint immensely scalable mobile architectures (utilizing contemporary paradigms such as MVVM or TCA) that seamlessly connect with our Effect-based backend and AI systems. You will navigate the intricacies of real-time synchronization, offline-first logic, and streaming AI responses. Drive technical excellence: You will preemptively spot and resolve performance constraints—such as render cycles and app startup time—while concurrently elevating the standards for maintainability, type safety, and UX consistency throughout the whole codebase. Requirements What We're Looking For Strong experience with TypeScript & React Native. End-to-End Ownership: You don’t throw things over the wall. You own your features until they are running successfully in production and used by real learners.
