Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryPosition provides audit and input of assigned academic and nonacademic transactions, functioning as the primary source for payroll and personnel policies and procedures.Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities: Advises and assists departmental supervisors on payroll related issues.Processes payroll transactions for academic and nonacademic personnel.Assists new employees with completing the appropriate new hire, payroll and benefit forms. May provide general orientation for new employee.Responsible for departmental foreign national paperwork and compliance for visas.Assists supervisors with the hiring process including job requisitions, PHS entry and appointment screening.May maintain sick and vacation leave records for staff personnel.Prepares cost-transfers and journals adjusting when necessary.Maintains personnel and payroll related files for department.May assist supervisors with documentation needed for employee evaluation process.May assist in annual budget process.Ensures accuracy and completion of PAR’s reports.Administers academic bonus plan and faculty compensation plan.Working Conditions:Job Location/Working ConditionsNormal office environmentPhysical EffortTypically sitting at desk or tableRepetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (PC Typing)EquipmentOffice equipmentThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
