Headquarters: US - Durham, NC - 4813 Emperor Blvd. - Remote URL: http://thermofisher.com Work ScheduleStandard (Mon-Fri)Environmental ConditionsOfficeJob DescriptionTHIS ROLE IS 100% REMOTEThe Associate Corporate Counsel, Large Molecule, provides global counsel to the Large Molecule Business Unit of PSG’s Drug Substance Division and will be responsible for delivery of high-quality commercial/business legal and compliance advice and transactional support to the Large Molecule BU. The Associate Corporate Counsel will independently support day-to-day legal operations for the business, be directly involved in business transactions, commercial disputes and settlements, will counsel Large Molecule with regard to certain compliance and regulatory matters, while working in close collaboration with the Director, Corporate Counsel on legal priorities, risk alignment, and escalation matters. The role will also manage outside counsel in certain aspects of Large Molecule business, lead and collaborate on certain legal projects and initiatives and provide training to the organization on a range of matters.This role reports to the Director, Corporate Counsel, Large Molecule.This is a full time, permanent opportunity with 100% remote working within North America.Key Responsibilities:Provide ongoing legal advice and support to the Large Molecule Business Unit of DSD/PSG (currently comprised of sites in St. Louis, MO; Lengnau, Switzerland; Groningen, The Netherlands; Brisbane, Australia; Plainville, MA; Gosselies, Belgium; Seneffe, Belgium; San Francisco, CA and Carlsbad, CA).Occasionally provide legal support to other Business Units of DSDEstablish effective collaborative working relationships with the BU- and Site Leadership Teams, Business Management, Sales, Operations, Quality and other functions, to provide timely advice on commercial/business/compliance legal matters as they ariseCollaborate with the PSG Contracting and Functional Counsel as needed Provide ongoing advice and support principally related to biopharmaceutical manufacturing contracts, commercial, supplier and sourcing contracts, proposals, SOWs, etc. including the drafting and review of such contractsProvide guidance on a range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters, including, pharmaceutical manufacturing (FDA and other agencies, cGMP, etc.), products liability, trade compliance, products liability, anti-bribery, and data privacyProvide advice as required to supply chain/sourcing, esp. regarding liability gaps and chains, from vendor to clientEnsure that Large Molecule conducts its business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and Thermo Fisher policies and guidelines Provide advice regarding customer and other commercial/business complaints and disputes (client- and vendor facing)Assist and support the Division Lead Counsel on strategic projects of the Division/BU, as assignedOther duties as assignedMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate required (or equivalent working experience)A strong background in Commercial Contract Management experience gained in a fast paced, cross functional working environmentIdeally has experience gained from pharmaceutical, or related industry or similar contract manufacturing solution provider) or within a manufacturing environment but not essentialCustomer centric approach in supporting both external and internal clients while protecting the best interest of the companyConfirmed negotiation abilities and business senseAbility to deliver strong results with limited resources with a high degree of accuracy, in a fast-paced intense environmentExcellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, experienced in team buildingStrong work ethic with the ability to work independentlySelf-motivated and require minimal direction to meet goals and objectivesBuilds an inclusive environment that seeks diverse viewpoints and collaboratorsProven dedication to our fundamental principles of integrity, respect and excellenceTravel is estimated 10-15% To apply: https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/thermo-fisher-scientific-associate-corporate-counsel-large-molecule
